Ventilation of sports hall
Urban, Ondřej ; Blasinski, Petr (referee) ; Uher, Pavel (advisor)
The master thesis deals with flow modeling in the CFD program. By means of which the opti-mal version of the air distribution diffuser in the sports hall will be selected. The first variant will bring fresh air through textile diffusers. The second variant will bring fresh air through flooded large circular diffusers. The tested parameter of the indoor environment will be the flow velocity and the age of the air. The better-performing version will be processed as an implementation documentation.
Directional characteristics of hot-wire single-senzor
Kozák, Jan ; Žoužela, Michal (referee) ; Zubík, Pavel (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with directional responses during measurement with single-sensor miniature wire probes. Author´s effort is to make a large-scale calibration measurement with different angles of inflow to the probe and compare results with common application of single-sensor miniature wire probe.
Flow measurement
Pátek, Tomáš ; Kunz, Jan (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with thermal flowmeter design. In the theoretical part are briefly described flow types, general formulas of fluid mechanics and different flow measurements methods. Second practical part this bachelor thesis deals with design of thermoanemometric gas flow sensor with FS7 sensor by IST AG. Design is based on many measurementrs to get basic features of sensor IST FS7 like heater warming depending on flow, heat transfer in zero flow and basic characteristic. Based on measurements, it is designed mathematical model of sensor by two methods. So it is designed universal performing electronics, which can be used with IST FS7 or IST DFOOL sensors. It is based on development kit Texas Instrumens MSP-EXP430FR2311. Firmware and MATLAB script which processing measured data is included.
Evaluating and modeling of fouling process in heat exchanger
Čirka, Martin ; Kilkovský, Bohuslav (referee) ; Jegla, Zdeněk (advisor)
This diploma thesis discusses fouling processes and mechanisms of industrial heat exchangers, with focus on shell side fouling of heat transfer area by flue gases, and eventually taking fouling into account, or more precisely its modeling and predicting by calculation. Thermal-hydraulic design of heat exchanger is focused mainly on shell side, as flue gases are dominant process medium in terms of fouling and heat transfer. Based on available operational data of evaluated industrial heat exchanger, specific process has been developed to determine by calculation, or more precisely predict change of fouling factor throughout operational period of heat exchanger. Usage and various options of this specific calculation technique are being discussed in conclusion, whether there is a potential to use this technique regarding more complex operational inputs or prediction of fouling process for different operational regime of heat exchanger.
Determination of active zone of bed load sediment trap
Sodomka, Václav ; Pařílková, Jana (referee) ; Zachoval, Zbyněk (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with determination of the active zone of bed load sediment trap in the water reservoir of Nové Heřminovy. A ready-made physical model of the sediment space was used and more accurate measurements of behaviour of the proposed object were performed. Ultrasonic speed field measurement was used for determination of the active zone of the sediment space. The Surface-water Modeling System programme was applied for evaluation. This information can be used for further assessment of bed load sediment trap. The results show that transported bottom sediment is trapped in the space determined for this purpose and there are no unforeseen phenomena. The model behaves within the limits of the initial assumptions. That means it is correctly designed and it will be more likely to serve its purpose.
Heating of apartment buildings
Diatel, Jakub ; Horká, Lucie (referee) ; Počinková, Marcela (advisor)
The topic of this diploma thesis is heating of apartment buildings, where an attention was focused on thermal comfort in heated rooms. The first theoretical part brings results of CFD simulations which compare radiators with floor heating. The second part consits of practical application o the given building. There are two options in this project - heating by radiators or floor heating. The third part describes two experiments - measurement of indoor environment in two rooms and measurement of gas consumption in apartment buildings with different heating concepts. In the last part the mean radiant temperature is simulated. There are compared different kind of heating, which have impact to distribution of mean radiant temperature in the room. The personal software was created for deeper understanding of mean radiant temperature.
Device for calibration of sensors for small velocity
Řezníček, Ondřej ; Jedelský, Jan (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
The Bachelor thesis deals with the search of splitting methods for measuring flow velocity, from which describes the mechanical and thermo anemometers. There is also done these search methods of equipment calibration, which is based on the design solutions implemented calibration device, which uses a moving of measuring instrument. Engineering design is shown on the attached design drawing.
Study of the Gas Blow-by through the Turbocharger Sealing System
Požár, Vladimír ; Novotný, Pavel (referee) ; Vacula, Jiří (advisor)
The work focuses on the investigation of gas flow within the sealing system of a turbocharger, specifically in the compressor section. The sealing „piston” ring located here is the main subject of the study, primarily examining the influence of the ring's geometry and its positioning in the shaft groove on gas leakage into the bearing housing. Furthermore, the behavior of this flow under various boundary conditions is assessed by testing different flow types.
